Present at the ceremony were very reverends from both Macedonian churches: Father Zoran Zdravev from Canton, Ohio and Father Vasil Manasiev from Lorain, OH, who gave blessing to the progress of Republic of Macedonia and the Macedonian people.

In front of many Macedonians and friends of Macedonians from North East Ohio, the Mayor of Cleveland Mr. Frank G. Jackson presented the proclamation of Independence day of Macedonia to the Consul General Mr. Igor Dukovski from General Consulate of the Rep. of Macedonia in Detroit.

The national anthems of USA and Republic of Macedonia were played while the flags were raised, and after the emotional speeches by Mr. Igor Dukovski and Mr. Pavle Dokovski everybody danced on the traditional Macedonian folk song "Makedonsko Devojce" to close the ceremony.
